Sensor Configuration
“Auto Adjustment” – enable this option to automatically correct measurements when the dielectric constant of the fuel changes. When Auto Adjustment is enabled, fuel level readings will also reflect changes caused by temperature expansion of the fuel — i.e., the displayed level will take the current temperature into account.
To perform automatic correction of the Omnicomm LLS sensor’s calibration values, the vehicle’s fuel tank must be completely filled during operation.
When the tank is fully filled, the maximum length of the measuring section not immersed in fuel must not exceed 10 cm from the sensor flange.
If the vehicle operates with insufficient fuel in the tank, Auto Adjustment cannot be performed.
Network Address (from 1 to 254) – set the network address of the Omnicomm LLS fuel level sensor. When connecting multiple sensors to a single external device, each sensor must have a unique network address.
Minimum Level (from 0 to 4094) – set the minimum reading of the LLS fuel level sensor. Default value: 0.
Maximum Level (from 1 to 4095) – set the maximum reading of the LLS fuel level sensor. Default value: 4095.
Connection Speed – select the baud rate for data exchange with the external device. Default value: 19,200 bit/s.
“Automatic Data Output” – select one of the following options:
- “None” – data is not transmitted automatically (only upon request).
- “Binary” – automatic data output in binary format.
- “Character” – automatic data output in character format.
- “Data Output Interval” (from 1 to 255 seconds) – set the interval for automatic data transmission.
The automatic data output mode can only be used if no more than one Omnicomm LLS Neo sensor is connected to the same interface
and only when using the LLS protocol.
Modbus Function – select the Modbus protocol function. Default value: “0x03”. Available options:
- “0x03” – read holding registers
- “0x04” – read input registers
Level – set the register address for the fuel level value. Default value: 40001. Possible values:
- 40001 to 49999 – for Modbus function “0x03”
- 30001 to 39999 – for Modbus function “0x04”
Temperature – set the register address for the sensor temperature. Default value: 40002. Possible values:
- 40001 to 49999 – for Modbus function “0x03”
- 30001 to 39999 – for Modbus function “0x04”
Register values are transmitted in the following format:
- uint16 (16-bit unsigned integer), byte order: most significant byte first.
To configure additional artificial intelligence parameters, click LLS Neo Engineering Settings.
Select preset configurations depending on the type of equipment used. Possible options: Mining equipment, Agricultural machinery, Custom parameters.
In the LLS Neo AI Settings and Engineering Data tables, any changes must be coordinated with technical support. It is recommended to use default values.
If necessary, save the configuration and engineering data to files by clicking the corresponding buttons.
