Faq and Common Issues
Why may refueling data differ during further operation?
Changes in Fuel Physical Properties
Due to the operating principles of capacitive fuel level sensors, changes in fuel composition may cause sensor readings to differ from those obtained during initial calibration.
Possible factors:
- presence of biodiesel;
- seasonal fuel (summer/winter);
- unauthorized additives.
Solution: Recalibrate using updated data. In case of repeated critical discrepancies, use sensors with Fuelscan technology (Omnicomm LLS6 AI, Omnicomm LLS-EX 5, Omnicomm LLS 5).
Configuration Errors
Incorrect readings may result from incorrect tank geometry or sensor type selection.
Solution:
- repeat the procedure using correct parameters;
- use fuel filling calibration for tanks with complex geometry.
Errors in Third-Party FMS
The calibration table is optimized for Omnicomm Online. Other FMS platforms may:
- detect refuelings differently;
- distort calculations;
- not support the generated calibration table type or format.
Solution: Contact Omnicomm technical support for analysis. Access to data received by the third-party system will be required.
Incorrect Refueling Volume Data
If incorrect refueling volumes were used when creating the calibration table, all subsequent calculations will be distorted.
Solution: Analyze the provided data and ensure there are no refuelings with significant deviations. If such refuelings exist, rebuild the calibration table without them.
Investigate the reasons for incorrect data for the specific refueling: whether the deviation consistently occurs at the same fuel station, or if there are suspicions of manipulation by the driver or other parties.
I Do Not Receive the Calibration Table
Since the service uses automated e-mail distribution, some corporate mail systems may classify these messages as spam.
Solution: Check the Spam/Junk folder. If the message is found there, contact your system administrator to add the sender address to the trusted senders list.
If no message is found, verify the correctness of the entered e-mail address and resend the table.
In all other cases, contact Omnicomm Technical Support.
