Supported Sensors and Equipment Configuration Requirements
Omnicomm LLS 6 AI
- Sensor firmware version 6.0.2.2 or higher must be installed.
- Reset factory settings must be performed in Omnicomm Configurator when upgrading from an older firmware version.
- Sensor length: 300 to 1500 mm.
To use the tank calibration service with Omnicomm LLS 6 AI sensors, the sensor must undergo a mandatory preliminary calibration procedure.
There are three calibration methods for the LLS 6 AI Sensor available.
Method 1 (Recommended)
After cutting the fuel level sensor to the required length according to the tank depth, place the sensor:
- on a non-conductive surface
- ensuring that the measuring probe does not come into contact with any foreign objects
Connect the sensor to Omnicomm Configurator (Android or Desktop version) using the Omnicomm
- In the Desktop version, you will see default values for CNTmin and CNTmax, as well as the “Parameter Initialization” field set to No.

- In the Android version, you will see default values for CNTmin and CNTmax.

Automatic calibration starts immediately after powering the sensor. Wait until the process is complete. Do not touch the sensor during calibration.
- In the Desktop version, after calibration is completed, the “Parameter Initialization” value will change to Yes.

- In the Android version, wait at least two minutes.
Once the “Parameter Initialization” value changes to Yes, or after two minutes when using the Android version, reboot or reconnect the fuel level sensor.
After reconnection, make sure that the CNTmin and CNTmax values differ from the factory settings.

Then proceed with sensor configuration (enable auto-adjustment, select an AI filtering preset, etc.)
After completing the configuration, install the fuel level sensor into the tank.
Method 2 (Simplified)
Use this method if it is not possible to connect the fuel level sensor to Omnicomm Configurator.
After cutting the fuel level sensor to the required length according to the tank depth, place the sensor:
- on a non-conductive surface
- ensuring that the measuring probe does not come into contact with any foreign objects
Connect the sensor to a power supply. Automatic calibration will start immediately after power is applied.
Wait at least 2.5 minutes.
Disconnect the sensor from power for 10 seconds, then reconnect it and wait at least 15 seconds.
After that, the sensor can be installed into the tank.
Method 3 (Standard)
Perform manual calibration of the sensor in fuel in accordance with the user manual.
Omnicomm LLS 5
- Sensor firmware version 6.0.0.29 or higher must be installed.
- Reset factory settings must be performed in Omnicomm Configurator when upgrading from an older firmware version.
- Sensor length: 300 to 1500 mm.
To use the tank calibration service with Omnicomm LLS 5 sensors, the sensor must undergo a mandatory preliminary calibration procedure.

Omnicomm LLS 4
- Sensor firmware version 4.2.0.31 or higher must be installed.
- Reset factory settings must be performed in Omnicomm Configurator when upgrading from an older firmware version.
- Sensor length: 300 to 1500 mm.
After upgrading the firmware and resetting factory settings, verify that the applied operating CNT range is correct:
- min: 160,000
- max: 750,000
After this there’re no preparation or additional settings are required. Sensor could be installed in a tank.
Omnicomm LLS AF 4
- Reset factory settings must be performed using Omnicomm Configurator version 6.7.11 or higher.
- Sensor length: 300 to 1500 mm.
After resetting factory settings, verify that the applied operating CNT range is correct:
- min: 90,000
- max: 450,000
Depending on the GPS tracker model and the FMS used, fuel level data may be transmitted either as conditional units (N) similar to a digital sensor, or directly as frequency/voltage values.
For correct operation, the same voltage/frequency range must be configured both in the sensor settings and in the GPS tracker settings.
